about

After an unproductive year spent as a duo, Steve Wicked (vocals/guitar) and Rory McButt (drums) were joined by Robert Heart (bass) for the recording of third album "Constellations" in 2008. Recorded April 2009, "Sold Out" documents a one-off live performance from the new-look Garibaldis'. The trio blast through past, present and future: reinvigorating classics Dark Church and Priest On Fire, rocking the double A-side gems Spread The News and Suffocating, before an encore hints at what the future will hold, in shape of Oh, Kelly. Most interestingly is the near-complete reworking of "Hard Rock Hotel" - an album marred by the departure of founding member David Picklesworth and consequently released in an unfinished state. Despite a mediocre crowd response, lack of practise and drug-dependency, The Garibaldis' somehow exude confidence and only now - thanks to a much-needed remix - can the concert be enjoyed to its fullest.
